I love controversial and open-minded view points. So, this was one of those that made me think, as a psychologist... Hence, I have to ask, if a parent is directly responsible for the trauma they caused a child, then are you saying it is still not the parent's fault if they grow up with challenges that are a direct result of the trauma (i.e., anxiety, perfectionism, distrust)? Just trying to decipher where the responsiblity of the parent ends and the personal responsibility begins. I agree it remains the responsibility of the adult to work through their past trauma(s), however, does this then relinquishes the parent from taking any responsiblity for their actions?
